Early-access installers may be unsigned. macOS and Windows can ask you to confirm that you trust the app. Scient never asks you to bypass your operating system's security controls.

First launch

Install with confidence

macOS

Open the DMG and move Scient to Applications. If macOS blocks the first launch, Control-click Scient, choose Open, then confirm.

Windows

Open the installer. If SmartScreen appears, verify that the file came from this page before choosing More info.

Linux

Mark the AppImage as executable, then open it. From a terminal: chmod +x Scient-*.AppImage.
